Welcome to Kaimai’s services. This privacy policy (“the Policy”) explains what we do with the personal information you give us. By subscribing to the Kaimai service and registering your personal details with us this allows you access to Kaimai’s services. This Policy only applies to the Kaimai website and the services which we provide you direct and not to the companies, individuals, organisations or other web websites or services which may be linked to our website or which you gain access to through our service. Consent 

Your use of our website and the Kaimai services signifies your consent to us collecting and using personal information about you in accordance with this Policy. Should we choose to change our Policy for any reason; the changes will be posted here, so that you are always kept informed of how we collect and use your personal information, and when we may disclose it. 

How we collect information from you and how it is used 

You do not have to register to browse some areas of our website, but you must register to set up a user account. We will need your name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number and credit card or other payment details so that we can set up your user account. Once we have set up your user account, we will issue you with a unique user ID and a password of your choice. By using this user ID and password you will be able to gain access to the services which we provide. We ask that you please make sure your details are correct and up to date so that we can provide you with information efficiently and so that we can bill you for the services which you use according to the rate plan you choose. 

How we use your personal information 

When you register with us to gain access to our services, we will use your personal information to manage your user account and bill you for the services which you use. We will also use your personal information to validate or otherwise authenticate your chosen method of payment to gain access to the Kaimai services. 

We may collect information about how you navigate through our websites and/or use the service by analysing customer traffic using cookies (see below). We may use personal information collected about you to let you know about functionality changes to our web website or changes to our terms and conditions of use including this Policy or services. We may use personal information collected about you to personalise your visits to our website and recommend goods and services to you which you might find interesting. We may also use the information to help us develop the design and layout of our website to ensure it and the presentation of our services are as useful as possible. We may provide aggregate statistics about our services, sales, customers, traffic patterns and other website information to third parties such as advertisers, but these statistics will not include any information that could personally identify you. 

Cookies 

Cookies are small files of information which are stored on your computer. Websites you visit ask your computer to store this information and retrieve the information from your computer so that they can keep track of things like other websites you visit or how you navigate websites. In future we may use cookies which will allow us to recognise you when you return to our website. Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but usually you can alter the settings of your browser to prevent automatic acceptance. If you choose not to receive cookies, you may find that your access to Kaimai services may be impaired or slower than normal. You might also have to keep entering your user ID and password every time you logon. It also means we would find it difficult to give you any other information which you might be particularly interested in because we may not be able to recognise that it was you visiting our website. 

When do we give information you provide to other people? 

We may pass your personal information to Stripe Inc, which is based in the United States, so that we can validate your payment details and map this information to the postal address provided. Your personal information may also be passed to a payment partner which is based in the United Kingdom, to validate your credit card or other payment details and map this information to the postal address provided. No payment partner will use your personal information for any other reason. 

Unless you permit us, we never give your personal information to anyone outside of Kaimai or the companies we use to look after your information or to run our website. Where we use other companies to look after your personal information, we ask them to make sure they keep your information safe and secure. 

In future we may ask for your consent to pass personal information to third parties, these third parties will be other people or businesses who would like to tell you about their products or services. We are selective about the kinds of companies we would give this information to, and we ask them to make sure they keep your information safe and secure. In any event you will always control whether we are allowed to pass your personal information to these third parties. 

We may give advertisers information where you are not identified such as how many people have clicked on their advertisements, what age range those people are and whether they are male or female. This may also include information about your interests; however, they will never know who you are. What we may do is show you the advertisements of advertisers of most interest to you given what we know about you from your registration information and personal preferences which you may give us from time to time. We never give any individually identifiable information to the advertiser, so they will never know about you as an individual. 

We reserve the right to access and disclose individually identifiable information to comply with applicable laws and lawful government requests, to operate our systems properly or to protect ourselves or our other users. 

How we look after your information 

We make sure that all the information we hold on you is as safe as possible. When you register we will issue you with a unique user ID and a password of your choice. Do not disclose your password to anyone. You will be responsible for making sure that you keep your password safe and secret. However, if for any reason you would like to change your password or you think that the security of your password has been compromised, please notify us at info@kaimai.co.uk.

Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)   

The Kaimai AUP covers your use of our web properties (website(s)), Kaimai services, and access to our subversion source control system. If you do not agree with the terms of our AUP simply discontinue usage of our websites and services.

Your use of the website 

  1. You agree:

(a) to abide by all applicable laws, regulations and codes of conduct and to be solely responsible for all things arising from your use of the site; 

(b) not to infringe any third-party rights through your use of the site, or your activities conducted from the site, including without limitation, the intellectual property rights of others; 

(c) not to damage, interfere with or disrupt access to the site or do anything that may interrupt or impair its functionality; 

(d) to be entirely responsible for and maintain the confidentiality of your password and notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your password or other security breach which you become aware of; 

(e) not to publish, post, disseminate, distribute or otherwise transmit any defamatory, offensive, infringing, obscene, indecent or otherwise unlawful or objectionable material or information through the site nor use the site for any chain letters, junk mail, ‘spamming’ material or any other form of bulk communication or otherwise cause any liability for us; 

(f) not to threaten, harass, stalk, abuse, disrupt or otherwise violate the rights of others, including rights of publicity and privacy. 

  1. Consequences of Breach of these Terms

If we consider or determine, in our sole discretion, that you have breached, violated or contravened this AUP or any of the Terms or have otherwise demonstrated inappropriate conduct in the use of our site we reserve the absolute right to: 

(a) warn you via e-mail that you have violated these Terms and ask you to discontinue such conduct; 

(c) discontinue your access and/or subscription to the Kaimai services and/or any other related subscriptions to additional services; and 

(d) take measures (including terminating, suspending, or restricting your use of the Kaimai services) to prevent you from using the site and/or services.
